So, short post to say that I went to Hyde Park this morning and it was gorgeous. It is so strange to be in the middle of london and then to run into streets and streets of green grass, trees, and even a pond. It was a great place to get some reading done and eat lunch. I'll be putting up some more photos of it on facebook if you want to see more.
EDIT: Totally forgot to mention how as I was walking through the park, I could totally picture it as it must have been during the 19th century at the height of the season: ladies strolling under parasols, young men riding about on their horses, older women being drawn about in open carriages. The only thing ruining this illusion was the cars and buildings visible along the edge of the park. But beautiful and calming in the midst of the city nonetheless.
